At Univerity College London, he will be collaborating with Associate Prof. Nicolai Marquardt and researching on how they can expand intelligent Internet of Things devices with different modalities, which can inform users about the technology’s internal (and often unclear) state. More specifically, he will be investigating smart speakers (e.g., Amazon Echo with Alexa) and to which extent physical actuation, as a part of smart speakers, can increase the “explainability” and make intelligent technologies more understandable to users.
