On October 19-22, 2015 the Workshop on Quantum Cryptography and Quantum Information will take place in Aarhus.
The workshop is organized by the Sino-Danish Center for the Theory of Interactive Computation (The workshop is organized by the Sino-Danish Center for the Theory of Interactive Computation (CTIC).
The Workshop on Quantum Cryptography and Quantum Information will contain invited talks from several leading researchers in the field of quantum information.
In quantum communication we send information by sending single elementary particles, one at a time. This means that quantum physics must be applied to describe what is going on, and this means that quantum communication offers completely new possibilities for secure communication and interaction, compared to conventional classical communication methods.
In contrast to quantum computing, quantum communication is feasible in practice already now, and we see exciting developments both in theory and in practice. For the workshop we have invited some of the best international scientists in the field, people that work with experimental implementations as well as some that work on the theory.
