The planning and coordination of the many activities at the Department of Computer Science are managed by a various group of committees and working groups:
The aims and objectives of the business committees are to significantly increase dialogue and collaboration with the private business sector.

The education committee is responsible for the administration of the bachelor and master studies at the department.

The Lab Committee is responsible for equipment and work facilities in the research and teaching laboratories at the Department of Computer Science at Aarhus University.

The Occupational Health and Safety Committee deals with all matters that relate to the physical and psychological work conditions.
The committee deals with issues in relation to the studies Master of IT and Diploma in information technology, Software development.

The postdoc committee is a forum to discuss topics of interest to postdocs, and to generate new initiatives to improve the working conditions for postdocs at the department.

The Seminar Committee is responsible for the organization of an on-going colloquium series (6-8 talks per year) accessible to all employees and students at the department.

The committee is dedicated to improving the area of equality and diversity at the department in collaboration with the management.

The joint cooperation committee provides a forum for exchange of information and views between elected representatives of the employees and the management of the department.

The library committee is responsible for access to and quality of relevant national and international digital and paper-based information sources.

The office committee is responsible for the distribution and maintenance of the offices at the department of Computer Science.
The PhD Committee at the Department of Computer Science coincides with the Computer Science programme committee of the Graduate School of Science and Technology (GSST). This committee is responsible for the PhD studies in Computer Science and Bioinformatics.
Chair: Anders Møller
The committee deals with issues regarding extension plans for tenured scientific staff, commenting for research projects applications, initiatives regarding presentation of research to the surrounding world and discussions of starting more interdisciplinary research projects.
