Cloud Infrastructure

Project summary

Cloud computing is a recent data management framework that provides flexible and scalable computing infrastructures via outsourcing. Based on a pay-as-you-go scheme, cloud users are charged only for the storage and computing resources actually used. Technically, cloud computing raises a number of research issues such as securing data against unauthorized access, efficient query processing, and cost-aware computing.

Protected search of data assets in the cloud

As a collaboration between project partners from the Data-Intensive Systems group at Aarhus University, Aalborg University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University and KAUST, we have developed methods for remote search of data assets in the cloud that show low communication cost and safeguard sensitive data.
