CTIC Celebration
On Friday 13 May 2011 CTIC celebrated the beginning of the new Sino-Danish research center funded by the Danish National Research Foundation and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NFSC).
The large auditorium was fully packed when Peter Bro Miltersen, the Danish Center Leader, began the series of talks by thanking people in perfect Chinese. There were only words of praise from the other speakers, Thomas Sinkjær, Director of the Danish National Research Foundation and Erik Meineche Schmidt, Former Dean of the Faculty of Science. The Chinese Center Leader for CTIC, Andrew Chi-Chih Yao ensured how he was looking forward to start up the new center, and he ended the series of talks by giving a Distinguished Lecture entitled “Quantum Computing: A Great Science in the Making”. The afternoon was rounded off with a reception.
