We are proud to announce that Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings again has ranked Computer Science at Aarhus University as number 1 in Denmark, in their 2021 subject ranking.
Overall, Computer Science at Aarhus University is ranked as number 100 of 827 listed universities, from all over the world. This makes Aarhus University the best place in Denmark to study computer science, and third-best university in Scandinavia, only surpassed by Aalto University and KTH Royal Institute of technology.
“I am both happy and proud of the 2021 THE ranking, which clearly underlines the international strength and significance of the Department of Computer Science at Aarhus University,” says Head of Department Kaj Grønbæk, and continues, “We have a growing team of world-class researchers, who work on cutting-edge research and innovation, while also teaching our two programs (bachelor and master level) in Computer Science and IT-Product Development. The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021 include more than 1,500 universities across 93 countries and regions, making them the largest and most diverse university rankings to date. The ranking is based on 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators that measure an institution’s performance across four areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
