New Chief Adviser and Head of Secretariat at Department of Computer Science

We are happy to present, Lene Hjøllund as the new Chief Adviser and Head of Secretariat at Department of Computer Science.

Lene is educated economist (Msc Economics/Cand. Oecon) and has been employed at Aarhus University since 2002, where she has worked closely with the academic management in various functions, both as Chief Adviser at the faculty level at Business and Social Science, and since 2016 she has been the Head of Secretariat at Department of Political Science.

Head of Department, Kaj Grønbæk, looks forward to working with Lene as Chief Adviser and Head of Secretariat:

“I look forward to having an experienced adviser and Head of Secretariat on board. The department deliverables are in high demand, and the continuous development of the department requires strategic actions as well as a proactive and agile staff. I’m convinced that Lene can contribute greatly to this as part of department management”.

The combination of the work as a strategic adviser for the management at the department and the management of the secretariat’s support for research, education and business cooperation is something that Lene very much looks forward to:

“A well-functioning secretariat and a strong strategic focus are both key conditions for operation and further development of a department, and they go hand in hand. I enjoy working with the full picture, so for me this combined position is ideal. I look forward to getting to know the department and take part in the efforts to address the challenges - and explore the opportunities - that the field of computer science is facing”.

Lene Hjøllund starts her new job on June 1st 2022.
