At the graduation ceremony, all our Computer Science and IT Product Development master graduates receive a unique poster as a memory of their time at the department. The posters are designed by fellow students, and this year’s posters are created by:
Each artist has captured the spirit, humour, and shared experiences of studying at the department – in their own style and with plenty of easter eggs to discover.
Artist: Stinna Danger, Computer Science, master’s student, 4th semester
“I wanted to create a poster that, at first glance, did not overtly represent Computer Science or programming, but, to the graduates, would have recognisable motifs that remind them of the journey they've undergone for the past five or so years.
It was also simply too fun to not use the fact that there, inexplicably, are animal names and references everywhere within Computer Science, from ‘camelCase’ and ‘bugs’ to the mascots of programming languages and editors.
Stacking the four animals was inspired by the imagery related to the Grimm fairytale ‘The Town Musicians of Bremen’, which at first was just a visual reference.
Throughout painting, the composition started to represent the nature of our education, where we always built on and expanded what we previously learned – as well as, with the animals' varying shapes, sizes, and colours, how we leaned on each other for support (or perhaps it's just a joke about full-stack development...).
I hope the graduates crack a smile looking for the cheeky nods from the poster in the animals and their patterns, and that they are reminded of how much they've learned and grown together here.
My warmest congratulations to my fellow graduates, and may you have the best of luck in your future endeavours!”
Artist: Anders Plougmand, IT Product Development, bachelor’s student, 6th semester
“I hope the graduates will look at my poster and recall their time studying IT Product Development at Aarhus University.
From the very first lamp-project, the hours spent debugging their code, the endless drop-down menus of Brightspace, and memorable parties with SOFA.
Since many probably won’t need cardboard and blue foam in their future careers, I hope the small details of the poster will serve as reminders of a time when they could explore and acquire knowledge across a wide range of more or less IT-related topics.
Congratulations to all the graduates and best of luck in the future!”

Once again – a great thank you to the talented Stinna and Anders for their artwork and congratulations to all of class of 2025!
