Abstract:
Location-awareness significantly enhances user experience of mobile applications. Knowing who the user is and where he is allows us to provide useful information at the right time. But how can we find user location? GPS and Wifi are far from perfect. Can we do better? How can we utilise Bluetooth Low Energy beacons to detect user location? Let's explore a new emerging technology that may change our approach to writing context-aware mobile applications.
