Developing hybrid apps for mobile air-gapped environments

In Systematic Defence, we build world-leading Command and Control systems while balancing the need for new technologies versus restricted environments and legacy hardware.

In this talk, we will present some of the architectural decisions behind building our next generation mobile products. Products that lead the market on C2 capabilities include advanced geospatial analysis, 3D maps, and tactical communication while running as a native app on Android, Windows, and Linux in an air-gapped environment. The talk will go through how we use the latest web technologies, including Angular, TypeScript and an embedded webserver, to build a hybrid app that supports our customers' many legacy hardware configurations and deployment needs.

Cloud computing in air-gapped environments with limited resources

The SitaWare suite leverages cloud technology to form a Big Data Integration platform to enable decision support for the commander

In this talk, we will present some of the capabilities of our solution, of how to capture data from many different sources as a stream or in a Data Lake. The data is processed and transformed into various forms that can be used for analysis and hence decision support. The talk will go through how we are combining the latest cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, Istio, Kafka and Elasticsearch.
