Special talk with the inventor of C++, Bjarne Stroustrup

On Tuesday 19 August 2025, Bjarne Stroustrup will return to Aarhus University to give a free public talk on: Concept-based Generic Programming
Date & Time: 19 August, 15:00–17:00
Location: Peter Bøgh Andersen Auditorium
Price: Free, but registration required
About the talk: Generic programming is a key part of modern C++, and concepts provide a powerful way to express constraints on generic code. In this talk, Bjarne will present programming techniques that use concepts to improve type safety, provide range checking, and enable user-defined extensions to the type system. He’ll also share the design rationales and origins for key parts of the concept design — and touch on upcoming improvements in C++26.
Don’t miss the chance to hear insights directly from the mind behind one of the most influential programming languages in the world.
