DDSA PhD Fellowship for Alessandro Sosso
Research assistant Alessandro Sosso has been awarded a PhD Fellowship from the Danish Data Science Academy (DDSA).
The DDSA fellowship programme supports outstanding young researchers who wish to pursue their own data science research ideas in collaboration with a Danish research institution. This year, ten fellowships were awarded nationwide.
Under the supervision of Bas Spitters and Akhil Arora, Alessandro's project, Agentic AI for Theorem Proving, with Applications to Mathematics, Program Verification and High-Assurance Cryptography, investigates how AI systems can collaborate with formal proof tools to solve complex reasoning tasks and verify the correctness of mathematical proofs and software.
Alessandro joined Aarhus University in 2025 and currently works as a research assistant on machine learning for automated theorem proving.
