Ioannis receives the Kalai Prize for the paper "The Unreasonable Fairness of Maximum Nash Welfare" (ACM Transactions on Economics and Computation, Vol. 7, No. 3, 2019), written in collaboration with David Kurokawa (Google), Herve Moulin (University of Glasgow), Ariel Procaccia (Harvard University), Nisarg Shah (University of Toronto), and Junxing Wang (Carnegie Mellon University). 

“The paper provides a striking result on the fairness properties of the Nash bargaining solution when applied to settings of indivisible goods... The paper has consequently had a clear impact on the literature on fair division, and in particular on the interdisciplinary work at the intersection of economics and computer science…”
