ACCOMODATION

All three hotels have internet access, there is easy access to busses to the lecture halls, and all three hotels are conveniently located in downtown Aarhus:

• CABINN right in the café and restaurant mecca
• Scandic Plaza Aarhus across from Aarhus main train station (where the Aarhus airport bus also arrives)
• Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel in the Scandinavian Center Aarhus (where the Billund airport bus arrives) and next to the Aarhus Music Hall.

Hotel CABINN

Hotel CABINN (see video presentation) is a relatively new (and thus relatively nice) budget hotel.

* Economy:
   66 Euro per night one person
   82 Euro per night two persons (one ordinary and one bunk bed)

* Commodore:
   79 Euro per night one person
   95 Euro per night two persons (two ordinary beds)

Breakfast is an additional 8 Euro per day per person for both room types.

Scandic Plaza Aarhus

Scandic Plaza hotel is a nice hotel that we frequently recommend to visiting researchers.

* Standard Room:
   132 Euro per night single room, one person.
   160 Euro per night double room, two persons.

Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel is a first class business hotel in Aarhus with an international atmosphere.

Our Recommendation

The CABINN hotel is the most conveniently located of the three hotels - in terms of access to the conference cites (walking distance) and city life (in the middle of the cafe area). It is also the cheapest. Since its a budget hotel its somewhat basic, but its relatively new and nice. The only complaint we have (often) had is that that the rooms are relatively small. Most of the rooms we have blocked are in this hotel. The other two hotels are nice upscale hotels. They are also conveniently located (close to the train station and airport bus stops) in the city center. We often use them for MADALGO visitors.
