Quantum Computation and Quantum Cryptology

Course Contents

This mini-course is intended as a preparation for the workshop on Algorithms in Quantum Information Processing that will take place at BRICS in January '98 and for computer scientists with little or no prior knowledge of quantum information processing. We will show how information can be stored and transmitted in quantum states of physical systems, and how this leads to unconditionally secure transmission of information and unexpectedly powerful computing devices and algorithms.
