CHINA THEORY WEEK TO AARHUS IN 2011
At the inauguration of CTIC 13 May 2011 in Aarhus, Center Leaders Andrew Yao and Peter Bro Miltersen proudly announced that this year, the prestigious China Theory Week (CTW) will be hosted by the Danish side of CTIC and take place in Aarhus.
CTW was founded by the ITCS at Tsinghua University, the Chinese partner of CTIC. This one-week academic workshop has been held every year since 2007.
The purpose of this workshop is to provide a platform for top CS theory students from institutions worldwide to meet, learn about recent developments, and present their research. Each year a few senior researchers are invited to attend the workshop as well. The workshop is meant to be an informal opportunity for participants to exchange ideas and make new connections. Approximately 25-30 students are invited each year. In 2011, CTW will be hosted, for the first time, outside of ITCS and outside of China. CTW 2011 will be held in Aarhus from October 10 to October 14, sponsored by CTIC.
