STIBO grant to Svend Christian Svendsen

Congratulations to PhD student Svend Christian Svendsen who has received a travel scholarship from the STIBO foundation. Svend will use his DKK 25.000 for his stay abroad at Duke University in North Carolina.

How big data can help combat the effects of climate change

In a pilot project, SCALGO and the Danish Meteorological Institute have launched a new national flood risk forecasting tool. The algorithm in the tool is based on research from Lars Arge's group at the department.
