Congratulations on your acceptance to our MSc in Computer Science programme! We are delighted that you applied to Aarhus University, and we hope to see you here this autumn.
We encourage you to take the time to learn more about the university and the Department of Computer Science by participating in the Aarhus University CS visit 2018.
The Aarhus University CS visit includes a three-day trip to Aarhus from 6-9 June to give you an opportunity to get to know the city and the Dept. of Computer Science a little bit better, and to show you that Aarhus University is the right option for you.
During your visit, you - and other international students - will meet some of our professors and students, and you will visit selected partner companies, which will present some of the amazing job opportunities they offer graduates and students from our department.
We hope you will take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn more about our Department, our University the thriving local IT business industry and the City of Aarhus.

The Department of computer science will cover the following expenses for your visit;
Hotel: Three nights at Wake Up Aarhus from June 6-9.
Transportation: Up to €270 for flight, train or bus on economy class. Remember to save your receipts!
Food: There will be breakfast at the hotel. Lunch and dinner on June 7 and 8 will be paid by the university.
Due to summer holidays, please make sure to send your receipts and reimbursement form to skm@cs.au.dk before June 1. If the documents are received later, the payment might first be processed in July. Normally, reimbursements are paid within two weeks.

Three options if you arrive by airplane
Trains in Denmark are operated by DSB. You can buy tickets online or in the ticket machines at each station. Tickets must be purchased before you get on the train. Get off at Aarhus H.
If you need to cross the country by bus you can either use Flix Bus or Kombardoexpressen.
The hotel is just a short walk from both the train and bus terminal. If possible, get off at the Train station for the shortest walk. A single room has been booked for you at Wake Up Aarhus, M. P. Bruuns Gade 27, DK-8000 Aarhus C.
To get to the CS department from downtown Aarhus, take a local bus (number 2A or 13 to Vanggaard Centret or Storcenter Nord) - or walk and enjoy the lovely weather that we (almost) always have in Aarhus. Department of Computer Science, Aabogade 34, 8200 Aarhus N.
Angelo Agatino Nicolosi is from Italy and currently works as a Chief Software Architect at Danske Bank Group IT, Aarhus. Angelo has a Master in Computer Science from Aarhus University
