A User Experience Analysis of Google Latitude

Aims
Taking of from aesthetic experience we will be conducting a qualitative study of the user experience of Google Latitude on smartphones. We seek to identify the different elements of the latitude mobile app that influences the user experience, what it is that makes the app popular and what keeps some users from using the app.
The study will build upon the theoretical foundation of McCarthy/Wright's Experience in technology and related articles from the field of HCI. Our methods will consist of diaries of use and interviews which can be used for analysis according to the theory.

- Plan and execute a smaller research related project
- Apply a known research method to a smaller research design project
- Conduct a small-scale user study to a real research problem
