Practical Research Projects - Project Description
Project Description
This is a description of a Practical Research Project associated with the PREP course
Project Title
Playful Interaction at home for older adults
Quarter
Responsible
Second level advisor: Morten Kyng.
Aims
In this project, the student will conduct a literature survey on methods for playful interaction research at home. The main aim is to study playful interaction experiences to discover opportunities for playful interaction for older adults [1] [2] focusing in relevant aspects of "healthy aging - HA". The final report should include this review and there is the possibility to extend the project into design, prototyping and evaluation phases depending on the review. A specific scenario and more references will be provided at the beginning of the project.

Learning Outcome
- Learn to read scientific papers and search for relevant related work
- Gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of methods for designing a playful interaction combining the benefits of HA into a fun experience for older adults.
- Apply existing knowledge as foundation for own playful prototypes for older adults (e.g. at home)
