C++'s tool for creating tempates seems like a powerful tool to generate better
libraries.

 ...a Pattern template definition specifies  how  individual  Pattern
  can be constructed much as a Pattern definition specifies how individual
  objects can be constructed...

Templates and Operator overloading seem to be much easier to understand if
written in Beta. Have the originators of Beta experimented with the idea of
introducing templates to the language?

Have the people behind Beta considered to introduce a UNICODE as the
characterset in the language.
