Document Structure Description

Document Structure Description (DSD) is an XML schema language. It is designed to be a simple and easily understandable language, yet with an expressive power beyond that of the alternative schema languages, such as DTD or XML Schema. The DSD project is being pursued at AT&T Labs Research and at BRICS, Aarhus University with contributions from QinetiQ Ltd.

Some DSD 2.0 schemas:

dsd2.dsd - a DSD 2.0 description of the DSD 2.0 language itself
xhtml1-transitional.dsd - XHTML 1.0 Transitional
powerforms.dsd - the PowerForms language
uri.dsd - regular expression for URIs, from RFC2396
character-classes.dsd - commonly used Unicode character classes
sg.dsd - XML notation for JWIG summary graphs
ant.dsd (ant.dsd and all included files) - Apache Ant build files
sitemap.dsd (sitemap.dsd and all included files) - Cocoon sitemaps
dc.dsd - Dublin Core
rdf.dsd and rdf-content.dsd - RDF

XSL stylesheet for converting DSD 2.0 schemas into XHTML:

dsd2xhtml.xsl and dsd2xhtml-styles.xsl
