Spring 2010 Master Thesis procedure

During spring 2010 students who are preparing their master thesis will be offered to participate in two sessions aimed at structuring and kickstarting your thesis writing process.

At these sessions you will discuss and formulate an abstract for your master thesis. You will also get the opportunity to meet potential thesis supervisors, and form a master's thesis group.

Sessions

Friday February 12 (09.00-15.00): Kick-off meeting

  • Discussions with fellow students and supervisors
  • Development of thesis statements.
  • Master's thesis group
  • Allocation of supervisors

Fridays March 5 (13.00-16.00): Follow-up meeting

  • Presentation of thesis progress (synopsis)
  • Feedback from supervisors and fellow students
  • Discussion of further process

Structure

  • Every third week students will be required to give a status on their working progress
  • Occasional meetings with supervisor
  • Exams will be held ultimo June 2010
  • 'Tips and tricks' for writing and structuring your thesis will be available during your writing proces

Generel rules for Exams

As a master or diploma student, you need to pass several exams, one for each course. Finally you must write and defend a thesis.
