The qualification packages (fagpakker) in the diploma programme require that the students have qualifications within programming and software development in general.
The qualifying examinations are:
Besides the qualifying examination you must have at least two years of IT work experience within development or implementaion of IT or teaching within IT.
If you do not have one of the above-mentioned qualifying examinations, the admission will be individually evaluated. However, there will not be made any exemption as regards the work experience.
The diploma programme consists of two compulsory qualification packages (fagpakker), perspective courses and a final project (hovedopgave) according to the model shown in the figure. Each qualification package consists of three consequitive courses taught over a 3/4 year period.
All courses are organized to support part time study. Teaching in the theory courses consists of three seminar days, each lasting from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and are typically a Saturday or a Friday. The seminar day typically alternates between lectures, working in teams on selected exercises, and discussions; however, the organization may vary depending on the type of course. All courses are supported by web homepages where literature, exercises, and practical information is organized, and most courses also utilize various e-learning tools such as electronic hand-in and feedback and/or discussion forums.
