The project aims to develop affordable, reliable monitoring systems for buildings and other large structures using embedded wireless sensor technology and intelligent decision support tools. It focuses on monitoring of humidity and temperature in the building by means of wireless sensors. The main challenges are: embedding sensors in concrete and wireless transmission between the individual sensors in structures. The monitoring systems are court developed so general that they can be easily adapted to other sensors for monitoring of other relevant parameters in large structures generally.
