
Ubiquitous computing and interaction is a research group within experimental computer science with the research mission to create new concepts and technologies within the areas ubiquitous computing and interaction. The group has a primary focus on future interactive spaces and their infrastructures including sensors and positioning technologies. The research activities focus on themes which are applicable to the multiplicity of the application domain projects undertaken by the group. The application domains of projects ranges from homes, over offices, schools, agriculture, and cities.
The group builds on a variety of competences within a Ubiquitous Computing and Interaction research areas such as: Interaction Design, Hypermedia and Social Media, Positioning (GPS, WiFi,...), Context Awareness, Mobile Computing, Peer-2-Peer computing, Augmented Reality, Sensor actuator based interaction, Kinesthetic and Aesthetic Interaction, etc.
