Pervasive Healthcare is based on user-driven innovation, and the ideas of the users of healthcare services (staff, patients and citizens) constitute the nucleus of the effort.
Based on the explorations already conducted, a picture emerges of a number of interesting projects and focus areas with a particular high potential.

The @aGlance project develops and joins technologies to support overview, collaboration and coordination during emergency response at e.g. larger events such as the Skanderborg Festival (around 50.000 visitors).The technology is designed to

• allow professionals to assemble large numbers of pervasive computing devices and services
• to get an overview of their ressources
• to get data from devices to produce an overview of the situation on the ground
• and thereby support collaboration between (potentially distributed) team members.

InteractiveSpaces is an interdisciplinary research center bringing together architecture, engineering, and computer science with the research mission to create new concepts for future interactive spaces. InteractiveSpaces.net also bring together companies and public researchers in a R&D activities leading to new products and services for specific domains.The research activities focus on six themes which may be applicable to one or more of the application domain projects undertaken in the center. The application domains to be studied include schools, libraries, museums, homes and specific workplaces.

ISIS Katrinebjerg er ét af fire it-kompetencecentre, der blev etableret i efteråret 2002 som en del af den jysk-fynske it-satsning. Centrene bygger på særlige regionale spidskompetencer inden for it og software, som uddannelsesinstitutioner og virksomheder besidder. De fire centre er finansieret dels af stat, amter og kommuner med en bevilling på i alt 130 mio. kr dels af deltagende universiteter og virksomheder. Bevillingerne strækker til udgangen af 2006.

Bedre kommunal service gennem ny anvendelse af it - forskningsprojekt skal skabe it-baseret samarbejde mellem borgere og forvaltning.

Tre jyske kommuner og tre it-virksomheder arbejder sammen med Alexandra Instituttet og it-forskere fra Århus og Aalborg om en ny type it-systemer, der skal udnytte de nyeste web 2.0 teknologier til at bringe borgere og forvaltning tættere på hinanden.

Projekt eGov+, der støttes af Det Strategiske Forskningsråd, skal dreje udviklingen fra den klassiske serviceformidling hen imod it-løsninger, der f.eks. skaber fora, hvor borgere hjælper hinanden, bedre samarbejde på tværs af de kommunale forvaltninger og sporbarhed i sagsbehandlingen.
