Money to increase the hospitals' patient flow and efficiency

The Ubiquitous Comp. and Interaction group has been granted 4m DKK from the National Adv. Tech. Foundation in cooperation with Systematic and hospitals in Aarhus and Aalborg to increase the patient flow and efficiency and make it easier to coordinate and plan the services at the hospitals based on positioning technologies and adaptive logistics.

Christian S. Jensen appointed as 2011 ACM Fellow

Christian S. Jensen has been appointed as 2011 ACM Fellow for his contributions to temporal and spatio-temporal data management. He is among the very few Danish researchers that from fellow researchers receive this distinction for his research within computer science.

Grant from the Danish Agency for Science Technology and Innovation maps the environmental footprint

The Ubiquitous Computing and Interaction group at the Department of Computer Science has recently been granted 18 million to the EcoSense project. In collaboration with leading environmental scientists they will develop technologies to measure, analyze and reduce the environmental footprint.

Opening of the last part of IT-Parken - the Nygaard building

Aarhus University marked the opening of the last part of IT-Parken with a reception on November 28. The opening of the Nygaard building is the beginning of a new story where Aarhus is in the front as a Smart City bearing in mind the success of IT Parken Katrinebjerg.
