15 minutes to introduce your research. This is the concept of The Computer Science Day which was held at IT-huset, Friday the 18th of June. In a tightly scheduled three hours program the attendants were introduced to nine research fields at Computer Science.
Computer Science day is a way to provide information about what happens at the department’s research areas. It is an opportunity for students, employees and other people with ICT interests to gain insight into the latest research topics and results.
Rasmus first-year student at computer science attended the day: The computer science day is an easy and nice way to get a brief overview of the different types of research at computer science. The talks give a feeling of what is happening at the department which is of great importance for me in order to get inspired for future work and decisions later on.
Also, Ph.d-students Mathias, Steffen and Asger attended the day: It is a great opportunity for us to get a quick and inspiring update of what the other research groups have been up to during the last year. Especially the ones we don’t meet so often for example Birc. Unfortunately the talks are either too short or too specified to provide the overall overview but indeed the day is an opportunity to get input to different collaboration possibilities between our research groups.
The Department of Computer Science presents its research activities on June 18 from 13.15-16.10 in a tightly packed program of 9 talks. The presentations are aimed at a broad audience. The Computer Science Day is thus a unique opportunity for anybody with an interest in computer science and IT to get a full view of the broad range of impressive computer science research performed in Aarhus.
