Peer-reviewed scientific journals
Abstract:
This talk is in two parts: (1) an overview of peer-reviewed scientific
journals, what they are, how they operate, why they exist, and where
they might be heading; and (2) a first-hand report of the speaker about
publishing in peer-reviewed scientific journals and about managing a
peer-reviewed scientific journal.
About the speaker:
Since 1998, Olivier Danvy co-edits the Springer (formerly Kluwer)
journal Higher-Order and Symbolic Computation (formerly Lisp and
Symbolic Computation) with Carolyn Talcott, and also serves as
associate editor in the Journal of Functional Programming. He has
published over 40 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
