If you consider attending Master or Diploma programme courses, you must be aware that the teaching lessons take place on Saturdays.

You do not meet your fellow students so often, but this does not mean that you have no contact. On the contrary you communicate 24/7 via e-mail, chat and weblog.

To get started most teachers arrange the first weekend seminar in the beginning of the study period. It is a good opportunity to get to know each other, discuss your expectations and be introduced to the teaching platform. You normally have three weekend seminars during a course.

Expectations and work load

Most students have to study in their spare time. It is therefore important that you have the support of your family.

The work load varies during the study and depends on your level of ambition. The average work load is 15 hours per week per course.

In most courses you are expected to hand in written assignments and larger projects.

We recommend that you join a study group with whom you can meet, discuss and share your learning.

Responsibility for your own learning

It is your own responsibility to sign up for the courses you want to attend.

You are automatically signed up for exams. It is very important that you inform the board of studies at the Faculty of Science if you do not want to take a particular exam. If you do not do so, it will be noted as an examination attempt, and you only have three examination attempts for each course.
