Torben Godsk, Industrial PhD student at the Department of Computer Science and the Knowledge Centre for Agriculture, Kasted was featured on TV2 Østjylland and TV2 Nyhederne November 10th. Torben tells the story about his results on activity recognition methods for analysing cow behavior based on recording of GPS traces of their movements.

The methods helps farmers to discover which cows may be ill and need extra care and treatment. Currently smartphones are used for the experiments, but special robust tracking devices will be developed for real use. The project has been undertaken as part of the Galileo Platform for Pervasive Positioining funded by the Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation.
