Cooperation with scientists

Knowledge and technology transfer from research to the corporate sector are highly prioritised at Aarhus University in order to strengthen the collaboration with the corporate sector. It ranges from the handling of patents through collaboration about research projects to a numerous continuing education programmes and networking between scientists and companies etc.

At the Department of Computer Science we have a long tradition in having a close relation to the corporate sector, and we work closely together with companies in developing new technologies and putting ideas into practice. We are always open for new ways to cooperate based on a common interest in the research area.

The university and the company define the project together and both parties contribute to the completion of it.

The content of the project and the terms for the completion are described in a project description and a cooperation agreement, which as a minimum must meet the university’s local guidelines regarding the signing of a cooperation agreement and the guidelines of the Ministry of Science Technology and Innovation regarding collaboration between the universities and the corporate sector.

Hence the Department of Computer Science with its broad professional profile, interdisciplinary and application-oriented research and innovative culture has wide possibilities to contribute to create both knowledge and competences.
